Fans Worried India’s Bad Salsa Might Be Unfairly Eliminated From ‘America’s Got Talent’
The America’s Got Talent live shows kicked off with some shocking results in week one. And with Indian dance act Bad Salsa performing next week, fans are worried that they won’t get enough votes to stay in the competition. This is not because they’re not talented, but for a multitude of reasons brought on by the shows new COVID restrictions.
Is Bad Salsa In Danger Of Being Eliminated On ‘America’s Got Talent’?
During the week one results show, Brett Loudermilk received the Dunkin’ Save leaving the judges to have to make the decision to save either ukelele player Feng E or singing duo Double Dragon. Kelly Clarkson who was filling in for Simon Cowell after his electric bike incident was the only judge to vote to save Feng E. The other judges voted to save Double Dragon, sending them into the next round. It is important to note Feng E performed via satellite and was not in front of the judges in person while Double Dragon were there in front of the judges at Universal Studios Hollywood. And, overwhelmingly on social media, people said that Feng E was robbed because COVID travel restrictions prevented him from being at the live shows in person.
One comment on our recap of the episode said “Feng E was a Golden Buzzer Artist on Asia’s Got Talent, he has performed on The Ellen Show, his YouTube Channel is mesmerizing and so on. His artistry is beyond his years. So ROBBED Now, I’m worried for BAD Salsa.” With Bad Salsa performing next week, we are not yet sure if they will be via satellite from Kolkata, India or in front of the judges live in person. But, it does make a difference. Being in front of the judges in person may allow you to resonate with them more. It’s also way easier to say no to someone who is appearing via video chat than someone who is standing right in front of you in person. This could be the reason the judges were so willing to save Double Dragon.
The Dancing Duo Have Some Stiff Competition
Will the fans pull through and vote Bad Salsa into the next round of the competition? A lot of their fans are from Asia and are therefore not eligible to place votes when it comes to the America’s Got Talent live shows. So it would come down to voters in the United States and Canada to make sure Bad Salsa has enough votes. Should they end up in the Dunkin’ Save scenario, will they be able to get enough votes to save them? And will the judges choose to save them if Bad Salsa is not standing in front of them in person? These are definitely major concerns heading into week two of the live shows.
Next week Bad Salsa will be going up against some stiff competition. The other acts that will be performing on Tuesday are Voices Of Our City Choir, Spyros Bros, Kelvin Dukes, Alexis Brownley, Daneliya Tuleshova, Kameron Ross, Bonavega, The Shape, Vincent Marcus and Jonathan Goodwin. Hopefully, the pair can make a lasting impression on the judges whether they are performing via satellite or in person.
