Fan Guesses Are Buzzing After Group B Performed On ‘The Masked Singer’
While The Gremlin unconventionally revealed himself as Mickey Rourke, panelists Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke are still left with questions about the identity of the other contestants.
The Serpent Might Be This “Hamilton” Actor
First off we saw an incredible performance of “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” by The Proclaimers from The Serpent. The panelists guessed that John Legend, Daveed Diggs or Leslie Odom Jr. could be under the mask. But, fans say all clues point to “Hamilton” actor Leslie Odom Jr. The Serpent said “the prescription number to its identity is “#31118.”
Hardcore fans of Leslie know that the numbers hold significance to him. “3- Leslie has put out 3 albums! 11- he has been in 11 Broadway/off-Broadway productions (including workshops), 18- he’s done Broadway from 1998-2016!” a Reddit user wrote. Also, the prescription bottle might be a nod to his role in the play “Rent” about drug use and the spread of AIDS in the 1980s.
Fans Think The Whatchamacallit Is A ‘DWTS’ Athlete
First off, The Whatchamacallit probably has one of the most obscure costumes in ‘Masked Singer’ history. The panelists thought it could be Swizz Beatz, Damian Lillard, or Tyler, the Creator under the mask. One popular fan guess is that it is The Office actor Rainn Wilson under the mask because his character once did a scene involving jello which was in the clue package.
However, The Whatchamacallit did hint that he was on Dancing With The Stars. Fans think that because of his height, he might be a tall athlete that took on the ballroom. The top guesses are football players Rashad Jennings who won season four of the show and Vonn Miller who is 6′ 3″ and competed on season 22.
Is The Seahorse A Disney Star?
The Seahorse was definitely a huge highlight during the Group B performances on The Masked Singer. She sang “Only Girl (In the World)” by Rihanna and had the panelists guessing that she could be Halsey, Hailee Steinfeld or Bebe Rexha. But, truthfully, none of their guesses seem like they are on the right track.
One popular fan guess is that The Seahorse is Halle Bailey from the R&B duo Chloe x Halle. The obvious clue is that she was cast as Ariel in Disney’s upcoming live-action Little Mermaid, hence the sea-inspired costume. In the clue package, there were references to their song “ROYL.” The lyrics are “Won’t you get on my wave? Won’t you get on my wave now?” which seems to point to being under the sea as well.
The Crocodile Gives Off Boyband Vibes On ‘The Masked Singer’
The Crocodile stunned in his pink suit singing “It’s My Life” by Bon Jovi. If we didn’t know any better, we’d say it was actually Bon Jovi under the mask. But the panelists thought it could be Jon Hamm, Nick Lachey, or Jenny’s husband Donnie Wahlberg under the mask. While Donnie is a good guess because of the clues that reference Massachusetts where Donnie is from, how would he pull that off and keep it a secret from his wife?
The clue package referenced being thrust into the spotlight at a young age. There are tons of tweets and guesses out there that point to The Crocodile being Backstreet Boy Nick Carter. He rose to fame as a teen idol in the 90s. There were also clues that gave off a Las Vegas vibe and the Backstreet Boys headlined a residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. Plus Nick is no stranger to competing on talent competitions as he previously was on ‘DWTS.’
The Baby Alien Could Be A Comedian/Ventriloquist
Finally, we have the adorable Baby Alien whom the panelists guessed could be Ralph Macchio, David Schwimmer or Freddie Prinze Jr. But, The Baby Alien costume is the first one ever that has a moving mouth and requires ventriloquism. With that in mind, fans believe it’s none other than comedian Jeff Dunham under the mask.
Jeff has experience with ventriloquism and in the clue package, The Baby Alien mentioned the number five. Jeff actually has five kids so ‘Masked Singer’ fans think this is a dead giveaway.
Though some of these guesses seem obvious, you never know who is under the mask. We could totally be surprised this season and have a celebrity revealed to us that we never imagined would be under the mask. Comment your Group B guesses down below.
