After Zhavia, ‘The Four’ Winner Evvie McKinney Gets Signed To A Label!
Our girl, Evvie McKinney just signed an exclusive recording arrangement with Motown Gospel and Capitol CMG . Just when you think Zhavia Ward was the only good thing that came out of ‘The Four: Battle for Stardom’ on FOX
Evvie McKinney rose to prominence as the winner of the inaugural season of ‘The Four’ and even though her performance, singing and songwriting stole our hearts, the Republic Records deal never saw the light of day. I guess it would suffice to say that, that’s over.
The Four’s Evvie Has Finally Made It!
Evvie covered songs like Aretha Franklin’s “I Never Loved A Man The Way I Love You” and Tina Turner’s “Proud Mary” that left ‘The Four’ judges Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, DJ Khaled, and Meghan Trainor shook.
People were almost losing hope that the then 20 year old was going to be just another name in the crowd and would be lost but alas! There is a ray of hope.
The runner up of ‘The Four’ Zhavia Ward just won teen choice of the year beating Lady Gaga btw and fans adore her. A lot of the fans were upset to see Zhavia lose to Evvie.
Evvie wrote in the caption of this picture on Instagram that “All that crying and all that praying paid off! I simply look at this photo and want to break down crying because this is ALL GOD’S doing! He protected me in the storm! He protected me from being made someone I’m not, He guided me to the right people, and made a way for me where there was no way out. God blessed me and He rewarded me for my PATIENCE and my Faithfulness towards Him. The whole time He was saying “Evvie, I got it all figured out.” Don’t just “trust the process”, TRUST HIS PROCESS, and HIS TIMING♥️ What’s for you is for you, regardless”
