David Dobrik Finally Responds To Sexual Assault Accusations [VIDEO]

YouTuber David Dobrik has released a second apology video in response to sexual assault accusations against his group the Vlog Squad.
David received criticism for his last response video, and brands have cut ties with him over the situation. In the new video, David says he’s taking a break from social media.
David Dobrik Posts Second Apology
The video included a trigger warning for mentions of rape and sexual assault. David started the video by saying that he’s had to apologize for things before, but added that he’s “never done this correctly, and I’ve never done this respectfully.”
According to HuffPost, David’s previous apology video for the current situation was criticized for being posted on his smaller YouTube channel and not allowing comments.

David says he believes the woman who says she was raped by Vlog Squad member Dominykas Zeglaitis. “I didn’t know what was going on in that room,” he said. “I should have been there, and I should have been making sure that everybody involved was taken care of and wasn’t uncomfortable.”
He added that he’s taking a break from social media, explaining that he “realized there’s a serious lack of infrastructure when I make any kind of content, and I want to be able to have a place of checks and balances.”
What Is The Vlog Squad Accused Of?
Last week, Business Insider published an accusation from a woman who had appeared in one of the Vlog Squad’s videos, claiming she was raped by Dom Zeglaitis while she was incapacitated by alcohol. The woman later asked that the 2018 video be removed, and it was.
Former Vlog Squad member Seth Francois has also said he was sexually assaulted during the filming of a “prank” video. He was made to believe he was kissing female Vlog Squad member Corinna Kopf in a disguise, but it was actually male member Jason Nash.

“I honestly didn’t realize how much that situation affected me until the beginning of last year when COVID happened,” Seth told Buzzfeed. “I remember sitting in my room in Atlanta and I was thinking to myself, That video was wrong. I just felt like that shouldn’t have happened to me.”
Several brands have cut ties with David over the accusations, including HelloFresh, Dollar Shave Club, and Bumble. David himself has also stepped down from his photo-sharing app Dispo.
