Dancer Twerks Her Way To A Golden Buzzer On ‘Denmark’s Got Talent’ [VIDEO]

Would you give the Golden Buzzer to an act that chose to twerk in their Got Talent audition? Well, that’s exactly what happened on Denmark’s version of the show in 2015.
Dancer Trine Munkvad auditioned for the show at age 18, and her moves impressed the judges enough to earn that coveted gold confetti. Check out her twerking talent in the video below, and decide for yourself if she deserved it.
Twerking Dancer Gets Golden Buzzer In Denmark
Trine started her audition with her back to the audience, as she shook her booty and did some gymnastics rolls. Then she moved closer to the judges’ table to do some similar moves.
Judge Cecilie Lassen looked to be enjoying the performance immensely. She pretended to slap Trine’s butt, while one of the male judges tapped it with his pen. Trine then returned to the stage and earned applause from both the judges and audience.

Cecilie was a particular fan of the performance. Unfortunately, her fellow judge Peter Frödin didn’t seem to agree, earning boos from the audience over his critique. Fortunately for Trine, his opinion didn’t matter, because Cecilie hit the Golden Buzzer.
Did This Act Deserve The Golden Buzzer?
Some YouTube commenters argued that Trine’s act wasn’t Golden Buzzer material, with one writing, “Apparently this is the best talent we have in Denmark? Embarrassing.” Others argued that what Trine was doing didn’t even qualify as twerking, with one commenter writing, “that ain’t no twerking.”

American viewers might be wondering if the standards for talent shows are different in Denmark. Although a twerker has never earned the Golden Buzzer on America’s Got Talent, one did receive positive feedback in her 2014 audition for the show.
Stylish Talent, who called herself a “professional twerker,” delighted the judges with her moves in Season 9, and even taught them a few tricks. She earned three “yes” votes to move on from the judges, but didn’t make it past Judgment Week.
