The X Factor just ended and singer Dalton Harris is on an all time high. That high may be short lived because Harris reportedly won’t win the same million GBP prize as previous winners.
How is that even possible? A spokesperson for The X Factor revealed that although Harris’s contract is “life changing”, it isn’t the sum we’re used to. The Jamaican singer beat out top competitor Scarlett Lee and Anthony Russell in what we’ll call an X Factor show down.
Although Harris won’t see the million, he will see a contract with Simon Cowell’s label, Syco. The X factor victor is officially #winning. The whole money thing seems very hush hush, and no one is giving details about the coins just yet.
In previous years winners of The X Factor received 150,000 GBP (great British pounds) initially for their first album. The second album Brough in 237,000 GBP. The third album sends bank accounts soaring at a whopping 315,000 GBP. Finally, a fourth album would bring in upwards of 400,000 GBP. WOAH. TALK ABOUT THE MONEY…HONEY.
Syco has been contacted for comment on the money matter but has yet to respond. However, nothing is going to bring Harris down after this huge win. The Power of Love with James Arthur is the feel good song we all needed!
One Directions Louis Tomlinson beamed from ear to ear as he watched Harris accept his title. Tomlinson has mentored the winner along the way. This is the former boy band members first year on the show, and let’s just say he did the dang thing.
Overall we think Harris won’t need that million because he’ll be to busy making it on his own. What do you guys think? Should Harris receive the same big bucks as his predecessors?
