BIO: Shay Mooney rose to fame as part of the country duo, Dan + Shay. Dan + Shay is a country pop music duo, signed to Warner Records Nashville. They have released 5 albums and have earned 3 Consecutive Grammy Awards. Ahead of meeting Dan Smyers, Mooney began writing music at the age of 14, and learned how to play guitar at the age of 16. He attended Valley Forge Christian College for a year, before deciding to pursue music full time. Ahead of Dan + Shay, Mooney had a record deal with T-Pain's Nappy Boy Entertainment label. In 2024, Dan + Shay is taking 'The Voice' stage as the first ever coaching duo on the series.
