BIO: Peta Murgatroyd is a professional dancer notoriously known for her 15 seasons on Dancing With the Stars. Murgatroyd began studying classical ballet at the age of 4, then due to an injury picked up Latin Dance at the age of 16. Within months of ballroom training, she became the W.A. Amateur Latin State Champion in 2002 and won the title again in 2003. She quickly became a well-known name in the ballroom dance scene. Murgatroyd joined the cast of Dancing With the Stars in season 11 (2011) as a member of the dance troupe. She became a full professional dancer on the series in season 13 (2011). She began dating Maksim Chmerkovskiy in 2012, got engaged in 2015, and got married in 2017. They currently have one child together and are expecting their second.
