BIO: Paula Abdul was one of the original judges of Fox’s hit series American Idol. She served as judge alongside Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson until 2009. Abdul went on to judge singing show The X Factor alongside Cowell as well as dance shows such as Live to Dance, So You Think You Can Dance, and The Masked Dancer. She returned to American Idol in 2021 for one episode when judge Luke Bryan tested positive for Covid-19.

Abdul was discovered by The Jacksons at age 18 and has built a career as a singer and dancer. She has choreographed music videos for Janet Jackson and a variety of other stars.

Abdul was married to Emilio Estevez from 1992-1994. She was then married to designer Brad Beckerman from 1996-1998.
