BIO: Jake Hoot immediately impressed during his audition of “When it Rains it Pours” by Luke Combs in season 17 of The Voice. He succeeded through each round of the competition on Team Kelly. He was never up for elimination, so it was no surprise that he won the series as a whole.
Hoot found his love of music while in the Dominican Republic on a mission trip with his parents. At nine years old he learned the guitar and began singing. During his time at college, he performed live while also working live performances on the side.
Outside of music, Hoot married nurse Jessica Lynn Steele in 2013. Together they had a daughter, Macy, in 2015. Hoot and Steele divorced soon after in 2015. Following The Voice, Hoot married his current wife, Brittney Hoyt.
