‘Britain’s Got Talent’ Kicks Off Its Live Shows With A Blackout
Britain’s Got Talent went live yesterday and the unthinkable happened…nothing. It straight up went off the air for several minutes. This is the worst thing that can happen on TV. They came back though and Simon joked it was Declan Donnelly’s fault for hosting alone. But it was the weather or something. Either way it was a great night for talent with the show garnering the highest ratings ever, 9 million viewers.
This dude with the most British name ever came back on the show and gave it his all with his velvet voice. He got mixed responses from the judges and did not go through to the next round.
You remember Shameer from the other night, right? He was one of two brothers to audition. He was the dancer and even though he was really great and got the audience really excited, he did not move forward.
Don’t get me wrong, Maddox is a good magician. Good, but not great. I mean that in the sense that levitating a girl and whatnot is pretty boring and standard. We want to be wowed by a magician and not see the same stuff as always. He did not make it through.
Ellie And Jeki
This act did quick changes to tell the story of a romance that ends in marriage. Simon wasn’t having any of it. He hated it. David Walliams came to their defense and told Simon he should propose to his girlfriend. He did not. Ellie and Jeki did not move forward.
The Lost Voice Guy
OK, I think this guy might win. Cerebral palsy robbed him of his voice but that isn’t going to stop him from being a standup comedian. He tells jokes via a computer and slayed the audience. He easily moved through to the next round.
Matt is an escapologist who tried to escape from bonds while his head was incased in a water-filled cube. It did not go well. Not at all. In fact, he had to be rescued by the paramedics. He didn’t make it through but at least he’s alive.
The D-Day Darlings
This chorus of military affiliated ladies with big 1940’s hair gave a stirring, patriotic performance and also made it through to the finals.
