We’ve been to the year 3000. Not much has changed but NICK JONAS is a coach on The Voice! Yes, you read that right, the Jonas brother will be joining the show in season 18.
Here’s everything you need to know about the future coach:
The Voice‘s New Coach Announcement
Nick Jonas announced that he’ll be replacing Gwen Stefani on The Voice next season on The Ellen Show. The announcement came with messages from fellow coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend. So I think we can safely assume these will be the four coaches in season 18! I could not be more excited. But then again, I’m a sucker for the Jonas Brothers. He will definitely be in good company.
Who is Nick Jonas?
Nick Jonas is a singer, songwriter, and actor. He is best known for being a part of the band, the Jonas Brothers. Nick also had a successful solo career, releasing chart-topping hits like “Chains” and “Jealous.” The Jonas Brothers’ recent reunion surged him back onto the radio and straight to the top of the charts. They’re even touring again now! He is married to actress Priyanka Chopra as of last year.
This isn’t Nick’s first time on the small screen (or the show) either! Nick was an advisor for Christina’s team on season 8 of The Voice. More recently, the Jonas Brothers found a hit, “Greenlight,” on Songland this summer. (If you haven’t listened to it yet, you definitely need to!) Nick’s brother, Joe, has also been a coach on The Voice Australia, so he should have everything he needs to do well on the show. Plus, he’s already said that he’s going to “kick [Blake’s] ass!”
The Voice season 18 will premiere early 2020 on NBC. We can’t wait until then!
