Brad Paisley opens free grocery store amid Coronavirus outbreak

Brad Paisley and his wife have announced their free grocery store in Nashville will go that one step further to help the elderly in this time of crisis. The non-profit store will deliver supplies and food to the elderly of the area as concerns over the Coronavirus continue.

In an Instagram post, the country singer from West Virginia wrote the following:

“So, in light of changing times, @thestore_nashville is mobilizing delivery of a week’s groceries to our elderly neighbors in Edgehill and Berry Hill on Wednesday’s/Thursdays. If anyone needs to be included on this list, we urge them to contact info@thestore.org
Also, we will continue to operate regular hours 1-7 Th/F 11-5 Sat for walk-ins but please bring ID and either proof of income, proof of residence, or statement of unemployment for our recently unemployed neighbors.

Paisley expressed that the elderly ‘should not be out shopping on their own in these times’. This comes after medical officials have stated that the elderly are at high risk of catching the virus. Extra volunteers have stepped forward to help Brad and his wife this week.

The store will continue to provide food for low-income families that are struggling.
