Blake Shelton Fan Claims He “Ordered Her Dead” In Bizarre 911 Call
Country music superstar Blake Shelton has millions of adoring fans. But one woman, in particular, has taken her obsession to the next level. Mary Linnie Myers has been arrested multiple times after making several peculiar claims about multiple country music stars. Is she an obsessed fan or does she have a personal vendetta?
Mary Linnie Myers Is Convinced That Blake Shelton Wants To Kill Her
Though Shelton is aggressive to get people on his team on The Voice, ordering a hit on a woman from Tennessee does not seem like something that he would do. Myers made a 911 call saying that Shelton was supposed to “come pick her up and take her somewhere.” Making non-essential calls to 911 who is dealing with a lot of other emergencies given the current state of the world was enough for her arrest. She also said that his bodyguard had “ordered her dead.” Given that Blake has been busy preparing for The Voice finale which he ended up winning for the seventh time, this statement is highly unlikely. Shelton celebrated his win with girlfriend Gwen Stefani while the pair quarantine together with Stefani’s children.
She was arrested a second time after she called 911 again asking for a helicopter. Why would anyone need a helicopter randomly? Her reasoning was that Shelton is out to get her. She needed the helicopter to flee. Not only that, but she also said she saw a man in the woods holding a knife. The deputy that responded to this call said that he didn’t see any immediate danger surrounding her.
Myers Also Mentioned Other Country Stars During Her Arrest
According to Myers, she told officers that she is dating singer Eric Church. Church has been married to his wife Katherine since 2008. The pair have two sons together. So again, Myers made some outrageous claims about someone she has probably never even met. The deputy also noted that Myers said country music legend Dolly Parton was flying in to see her that night. The 10-time Grammy award winner has been busy working on coronavirus relief and thanking essential workers.
One thing that had deputies concerned was the amount of alcohol Myers consumed before making each of her 911 calls. Empty beer bottles and a bottle of vodka were found inside of the camper that Myers lives in. During her first arrest, Myers was noticeably drunk. She was slurring her words and struggled to gain her balance. The deputy said that she “reeked of alcohol.”
Myers is currently being held in Hawkins County Jail without bond. It is unclear if she had any sort of fan interaction with Shelton, Church or Parton, but it definitely looks like alcohol played a huge role in her outlandish claims. It’s safe to say that Myers will not be meeting Shelton any time soon.
