Surprise! Our favorite celebrity couple Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani will be performing at The Academy of Country Music Awards. The pair will be singing their latest duet “Happy Anywhere” on country music’s big night. Are you freaking out just as much as we are?
Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani Are Set To Perform At The ACM Awards
After the success of their first country duet “Nobody But You,” the power couple knew they had to follow that up with a strong song. The happy couple also released a music video for “Happy Anywhere” shot from quarantine by Gwen’s brother Todd. This comes after the pair have both signed on to be coaches for the upcoming 19th season of The Voice. “Nobody But You” was incredibly successful and marked Blake’s 27th No. 1 on the country music charts. It was Gwen’s first-ever No. 1 on the country charts. And “Happy Anywhere” followed the same path hitting No. 1 on all charts the morning of its release. To see their new stellar awards show performance, tune in on September 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and on-demand. You can also watch it on CBS All Access.
Previously on Instagram, Blake asked his fans what their favorite Blake and Gwen moment is. Ours is definitely all of their award show performances together where you can see such an amazing spark between them. What’s yours?
It was also announced that American Idol winner Carrie Underwood will make a return to the ACM Awards. Last year while co-hosting the show, she performed in a tribute to salute female empowerment and leaders. This year she will return to do the same to honor the 95th anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry. She is slated to sing songs by Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, Reba McEntire, Martina McBride and Barbara Mandrell. Honestly, the ACM Awards would be incomplete without her since she has been a huge part of the show for the past decade.
Who Else Is Performing At The Academy Of Country Music Awards?
Former American Idol judge Keith Urban will be hosting the star-studded country affair. Blake’s ex-wife Miranda Lambert is set to perform as well along with American Idol judge Luke Bryan and American Idol alum Gabby Barett. Luke is nominated for Entertainer Of The Year. Maren Morris, Morgan Wallen, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Mickey Guyton, Tim McGraw, Kane Brown, Kelsea Ballerini, Jimmie Allen, Tenillle Townes, Dan + Shay, Thomas Rhett with Jon Pardi, Old Dominion, Riley Green and Florida Georgia Line will also perform.
Presenters for the show include American Idol runner up Lauren Alaina, Cam, Darius Rucker, Runaway June, Dancing With The Stars winner Bobby Bones, model Lily Aldridge, Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black.
