‘BGT’ Hosts Ant And Dec Along With Simon Cowell Do Something Amazing!
ITV BGT hosts Ant and Dec recently showed amazing support for their colleague Ian Royce. The presenting duo donated a combined £5,000 to help send Ian to rehab for alcoholism and they aren’t the one ones, Simon joins in too!
According to Hello magazine, Ian is a comedian who has performed as a warm-up act on both Britain’s Got Talent and X Factor, as well as appearing on shows like Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and The Jonathan Ross Show.
BGT’s Ant And Dec Donate To Ian Royce
Ian has a GoFundMe page set up by his friend James Mace. “Ian is an alcoholic and has taken his first steps by admitting so,” the page reads. Ian is also being treated for a brain injury sustained while he was under the influence.
The campaign is trying to raise £20,000 for Ian to be treated in a 28-day rehab program, and is currently halfway there. “Roycey has been there for so many people over the years and now it’s time we repay him by getting him the help he needs by funding his rehabilitation,” the description reads.
Two anonymous donations of £2,500 are believed to be from Ant and Dec. Ian tweeted his appreciation for their generosity on Monday, and also posted a video thanking everyone for donating.

Ant and Dec aren’t the only famous names to have helped Ian. Hello reports that X Factor star Olly Murs donated £2,000, writing, “Roycey! Stay strong my friend! I’ll be seeing you soon! X”
Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell also reportedly donated. Simon’s reps apparently confirmed to The Mirror that he will “help the star.” Ian included Simon in a thank-you message on Twitter Monday.
On Friday, singer Robbie Williams tweeted at Ian telling him he would be “happy to pay for your rehab, consider it done.” Ian also gave him a shout-out in his thank-you tweet.
