‘BGT’ Finalists Revealed: Contestants React To Going To The Live Shows

On Sunday, BGT: The Finalists Revealed featured the announcement of which acts from Season 14 of the show will be moving on to the live shows. The deliberations were filmed in February 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic put the season on hold.


The judges had to consider 200 acts who made it through the auditions, and narrow it down to just 40 semi-finalists. The show went through some of the most memorable acts of the season, and then shared which acts made it through to the semifinals. Find out who’s moving on below.

‘BGT’ Golden Buzzer Acts 2020

The first acts who went through were the Golden Buzzer acts. Each judge, plus hosts Ant and Dec, hit the Golden Buzzer for an act in the auditions, sending them straight into the live shows. These acts are as follows:

Simon Cowell: Fayth Ifil, a 12-year-old singer
David Walliams: Sign Along With Us, a choir that performs sign language
Alesha Dixon: Nabil Abdulrashid, a 34-year-old stand-up comedian
Ant & Dec: Jon Courtenay, a 46-year-old singing comedian
Amanda Holden: Honey and Sammy, a mother and daughter singing duo

Which Other Acts Made It Through To The Lives?

After the Golden Buzzer acts, there were 35 more spots left in the BGT semifinals. The judges revisited many of the season’s most noteworthy acts, and argued over who deserved to move on.

The judges then called the semi-finalists, and we got to see their happy reactions. At the end of the show, these are the acts who made it through to the BGT live shows:

Shalom Chorale, a gospel choir
Kevin Quantum, a danger act
The Coven, a dance group
Papi Flex, a contortionist
Hakan Berg, a comic magician
Myra Dubois, a drag queen
Urban Turtles, a dance group
Dario the Dinosaur, a music and dance act
Cheneke! Junior Orchestra, a youth orchestra
Ember Trio, a music group
Beth Porch, a singer and guitarist
James Stott, a danger act
Magical Bones, a magician
Damien O’Brien, a magician
James and Dylan Piper, father and son magician
Soldiers of Swing, a singing duo
Sirene Jahangir, a singer and pianist
