‘BGT’ Final: Which Act Was Crowned The 2020 Winner?

On Saturday night, BGT aired its final for 2020, and a winner was crowned. Ten acts performed in this round — five previously chosen by the judges, and five voted through by the audience.


Fans at home didn’t know which acts had been voted through to the final until the start of tonight’s show. It looks like viewers are impressed by magicians, as four out of the five audience choices were magic acts.

Viewers voted during tonight’s show to decide which act they thought should win the competition. Read on to see all of the final performances, and find out which act was named the winner of BGT 2020.

‘BGT’ Final: Watch The Performances

Aidan McCann

This young magician was voted through to the finals by the audience. For tonight’s performance, he invited judge David Walliams on stage to try and read his mind in a funny routine. Just when you think you’ve figured out the trick, it gets even more impressive.


Aaron & Jasmine

This dance duo was chosen by the judges as one of five acts to go straight to the final. Tonight, they performed a sexy routine surrounded by flames. It ended with them swinging in the air. Alesha Dixon said they “delivered,” and David called it a “stunning performance from start to finish.”

Damien O’Brien

This magician was voted through to the final by the audience. Tonight, he wowed Amanda Holden by making her chosen card disappear and reappear on social media. At the end, he even made her phone appear in a box on stage. The judge was blown away by the trick.


Steve Royle

This comedian was chosen by the judges as one of the acts to move straight to the final. Tonight, he performed an energetic and silly routine that had the judges crying with laughter. He ended the performance by juggling flaming torches.

Magical Bones

This magician was another one of the judges’ chosen acts. For the final, he started by showing off his break dancing moves and finished the performance with a disappearing act that had the judges scratching their heads. “I just don’t know what you can’t do,” Amanda told him.

Sign Along With Us

This chorus who signs along with their songs was voted through to the final by the BGT audience. For tonight’s performance, they sang “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus. David said he “couldn’t be prouder” of his Golden Buzzer act. Alesha said they chose the “perfect song.”

James & Dylan Piper

This father and son magic duo was voted through by the audience. For the finals, they appeared to perform remotely, asking the judges various questions and then revealing the answers already written on an envelope. They later revealed they were actually in the studio the whole time!

Nabil Abdulrashid

This comedian was chosen by the judges to go straight into the final. He returned to perform a routine touching on racism and Islamophobia. He also addressed the complaints the show received about Diversity’s BLM performance. “I’m shocked that many of them know how to write,” he joked.

Jasper Cherry

This 14-year-old magician was voted through by the audience. Tonight, he wowed the judges by making various drinks (including beer and a strawberry milkshake) appear out of a single carton, then revealed there were no secret compartments. Hosts Ant and Dec couldn’t figure out how he did it.

Jon Courtnenay

This funny piano player was chosen by the judges to go to the final. Tonight, he delivered a touching performance about appreciating the small things in life during the pandemic. He ended the performance by paying emotional tribute to his own family.
