BEST TV Talent Show Host Of The UK Is…
Every special occasion needs a host. From your birthday dinner party to those great big award shows, it’s a must. Included in that long list, is of course, TV Talent Shows! The UK has produced some of the finest hosts to ever grace our screens from Dermot O’ Leary to the treasured duo, Ant & Dec. So, Here are our all time favourite TV Talent Show hosts, that birthed their careers in the UK.
Dermot O’ Leary – The X Factor
Dermot O’ Leary is quite literally the man keeping X Factor on air. Dermot has been on host on The X Factor forever, and we are NOT complaining! His subtle wit and extraordinary charm on stage is irresistible and a good enough reason to tune into the show. He must admit, he’s not too bad of a dancer either!
It’s fair to say, O’ Leary knows X Factor like no one else, he’s seen and heard nearly everything. Tense sing-offs, crazy auditions and those emotional couple of days at Judges Houses are now just another day in the office for Dermot. Back in 2015, Simon Cowell tried replacing the host for a year with Olly Murs and Caroline Flack. Not only did the season suck, but it was that bad, Cowell had Dermot back the very next year.
Ant & Dec – Britain’s Got Talent
Ant and Dec, simply put, are national treasures. They have hosted every single season of BGT to date and continue to this day. Known for their brotherly like friendship and comical approach to hosting, not a single soul expects these two to leave television any time soon.
The famous duo have won the NTA for Best Presenter 18 years in a ROW! No wonder Cowell hasn’t even attempted to switch them out on BGT. We’re here for another decade of Ant & Dec madness, you in?
Joel Dommet – The Masked Singer
It’s likely you’ve never heard of Joel if yout haven’t caught up with The Masked Singer UK. The series began just weeks ago, and it seems Joel has learnt the ropes quicker that we expected. Dommet is fun, charismatic and seems genuinely delighted to be on stage, hosting. Joel has developed a real close connection with all the singers on TMS, which is a rarity on some TV Talent Shows. All we can say is keep it up Joel, because there’s no such thing as too many hosts!
Philip & Holly – Dancing On Ice
Daytime TV’s sweethearts, Philip and Holly don’t shy away from Talent Shows. Holly has previously hosted The Voice on BBC, but now she is joined by her daytime talk show partner, Philip for the ‘greatest show on ice’! Although they aren’t known for their talent show host capabilities, they do a damn good job at it. Besides, this duo can do anything. Beware, these two will have you laughing historically throughout any show they appear on!
