Bars & Melody + Tape Face Appear On ‘BGT: The Champions’
BGT: The Champions is in full swing, and several familiar faces have returned to compete. That includes British singing and rapping duo Bars & Melody, as well as AGT favorite Tape Face.
Let’s learn a little bit more about these unique acts, as well as where they’ve been since the last time we saw them on our TV screens.
Bars & Melody To Appear On ‘BGT: The Champions’
This weekend’s new episode of BGT: The Champions will feature the return of musical duo Bars & Melody. Leondre “Bars” Devries and Charlie “Melody” Lenehan made it to third place on BGT in 2014.
The pair’s audition on the show sent an anti-bullying message, and earned the Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell. They went on to release two EPs and three studio albums.
According to The Sun, Leondre is now 18, and Charlie is 20, and they have a tour of the UK planned for later this year. Their return to the BGT stage is one of many big reunions this season — dancer George Sampson and singer Connie Talbot have also grown up since they were last on the show.
Tape Face Appears On ‘BGT: The Champions’
If you’re an AGT fan, Tape Face is probably familiar to you from Season 11 of the show. His quirky mime act sent him all the way to the finals. He appeared in Las Vegas with winner Grace VanderWaal, and returned for AGT: The Champions earlier this year.
Tape Face is portrayed by Sam Wills, who is from New Zealand. His act involvs the clever use of props such as oven mitts. His name comes from the fact that he wears a piece of duct tape over his mouth when he performs, keeping him silent.
In last week’s episode of BGT: The Champions, Tape Face invited judge David Walliams to the stage for a silly act involving everyday objects. It had the audience laughing, but unfortunately Tape Face was eliminated from the preliminaries.
See if Bars & Melody fare any better on BGT: The Champions this Saturday on ITV.
