Ariana Grande Teases Fans With First Look at Her Glinda The Good Witch Costume in ‘Wicked’
Entertainment Tonight Ariana Grande fans have been eagerly anticipating her debut as Glinda in the upcoming Wicked movie, and now the first images of the pop star in full costume have been released. Filming for the movie is currently underway in the UK, with Grande starring alongside Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, and Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero.
Ariana Grande Teases Fans With Wicked First Look
Grande’s casting as Glinda has been highly anticipated by fans, and the singer has been sharing glimpses of the movie on her social media channels. She previously posted a video of herself singing “Over the Rainbow,” and changed her Instagram bio to read “currently somewhere over the rainbow.”
The pictures show Grande in a stunning pink gown, walking up a flight of stairs on the Buckinghamshire set. She’s filming what appears to be a scene from the movie, where she seems to be singing one of the numbers.
The Wicked movie, directed by Jon M. Chu, is based on the hit Broadway musical. It tells the story of the friendship between Elphaba and Glinda before the events of The Wizard of Oz. The first of two planned movies is set to be released on November 27, 2024. With the second movie slated for December 25, 2025.
Grande, who rose to fame as a pop singer, has previously shown her musical theater chops with performances in NBC’s Hairspray Live! and the Broadway musical 13. Her casting as Glinda in the Wicked movie has been praised by fans and also critics alike. With many excited to see her take on the iconic role originated by Kristin Chenoweth on Broadway.

Ariana Grande Revealed Her Character Will Use r.e.m. Beauty in The Film
Grande recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of her r.e.m. beauty brand being sold at Ulta stores. During a YouTube Q&A session, one fan asked Grande if her makeup brand is used on the set of Wicked.
Grande revealed that her character will be wearing r.e.m. beauty products in the film. This is thanks to her makeup artist Nuria’s openness to using the products. Grande told Nuria that she wanted to find her character’s look together, without any rules or requests. The result was Glinda wearing “a few things” from the r.e.m. beauty line.
However, fans will have to wait until the movie’s release next year to find out exactly which products were used. Grande did reveal that a foundation from r.e.m. beauty is in the works but has been delayed. Mainly due to a transition period for the brand. During the Q&A, Grande also showed off her winged eyeliner skills and teased upcoming products.
