An EPIC Country Music ‘Voice’ Battle Ends With A Shocking Twist — Watch Taryn Papa Vs. Worth The Wait
NBC The Battles on season 19 of The Voice heated up with country artist Taryn Papa and trio Worth The Wait going head to head. It was an epic showdown for the artists singing Little Big Town’s “Little White Church.” Their coach Blake Shelton had a difficult choice to make and he ended up surprising everybody with his decision.
Taryn Papa And Worth The Wait Had An Epic Country Battle On ‘The Voice’
Taryn is a seasoned country singer who moved to Nashville to pursue her music career. She leads a female-fronted band on Broadway and performs at Blake’s venue Ole Red in Nashville. Worth The Wait is a mother-daughter trio that has gone viral for their videos online. The matchup was completely awesome and nobody knew what was going to happen.
Taryn and Worth The Wait both had their own incredible solo moments during the battle. Worth The Wait even incorporated a little bit of choreography while Taryn held her own against the group. John Legend compared the performance to a tennis match because he was continuously looking back and forth. But the decision was in Blake’s hands.

“You both remind me of two different artists that I’ve worked with earlier” Blake said. “Taryn, its Cassadee Pope, she was completely comfortable being on stage and there you are on Broadway you’re totally comfortable up there.”
“And then with Worth The Wait, Mia reminds me a lot of Danielle Bradberry” he said. He went on to say that Danielle was a little shy at first and had not had much experience on stage. “You know people saw the growth in Danielle Bradberry and that’s what makes it more of a tough decision” Blake continued.
Who Won The Battle?
Blake declared Worth The Wait as the winner of the battle. He said that the family harmony that they have is just something that they were born with. We talked about this shocking decision in this week’s recap show, especially after Taryn put up such a good fight. We also talk about a few other shocking decisions made by the coaches. As Taryn was walking off the stage after losing the battle, Blake very swiftly hit his save. Taryn was in complete shock but for those of us at home that were worried about her possible elimination, it was definitely a sigh of relied. Nobody went home during the battle and Taryn and Worth The Wait are both still members of Team Blake.

Other shocking moments of the night included the elimination of Olivia Reyes who went up against Tamara Jade in a battle. Tamara was declared the winner by John but the rest of the coaches failed to steal Olivia who put on one amazing performance.
