You might have noticed that AGT aired a rerun of the Season 15 premiere this week instead of a new episode. This move was hardly embraced by everyone who enjoys the show.

Some fans also weren’t satisfied with the show’s claim that viewers had asked for a rerun. And it wouldn’t be Twitter if several people didn’t share their opinion on the matter.

Fans Aren’t Happy With ‘AGT’ Rerun

On Monday, ahead of the night’s repeat episode, the AGT Twitter account posted, “You asked and we’re delivering. Re-watch the #AGT premiere in ONE HOUR!” This got fans talking.

Some users challenged the show’s claim that fans had asked for a rerun of the premiere. “Name one person that asked for a rerun,” wrote one viewer. Another replied, “*crickets*.”

And the negative comments didn’t stop there. The show later tweeted about the episode starting. One fan argued that they can watch the show on demand and don’t need a rerun. Another theorized that the show “obviously fucked something up.”

Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait too long for the next AGT episode. The final audition episode, which will apparently include auditions judged remotely, is set to air next Tuesday, July 14.

What Is The ‘AGT’ Schedule For The Rest Of The Season?

According to Gold Derby, a recap show will air on July 21, a week after the final audition episode. After that, Judge Cuts will air in a single episode on July 28. The judges recently filmed it outdoors, practicing social distancing and watching performances remotely.

The next week, on August 4, an episode will air celebrating the show’s 15-year history. After that, starting the week of August 10, the live shows will reportedly begin. They will run for four weeks. It’s not clear yet how (or where) these live shows will be filmed.

America’s Got Talent has faced a lot of production challenges this season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Can fans really blame the show for taking one week off to get things in order?
