‘America’s Got Talent’ Auditions Kick Off Later This Week
America’s Got Talent may not be on TV 12 months a year, but the show is a 24/7 operation, including during the “offseason”.
While the show doesn’t start airing until late spring (unless we’re including the upcoming spin-off America’s Got Talent: The Champions, which will premiere in January) the production team remains hard at work year round preparing for the next season. And right now, they’re getting set for the first round of Season 14 auditions!
So far, the show has announced seven cities they will be travelling to in hopes of finding talent for the 2019 season. The audition website claims they plan to announce more locations in the future (so be sure to keep checking back if you don’t see a city near you on the list) but the ones that have been announced as of now include:
- New York City, New York – November 2 and 3, 2018
- Detroit, Michigan – November 12, 2018
- Knoxville, Tennessee – November 15, 2018
- Tampa, Florida – December 10, 2018
- Charlotte, North Carolina- December 15, 2018
- San Antonio, Texas – January 11, 2019
- Los Angeles, California – February 9, 2019
Keep in mind these aren’t for the “first audition” round in front of the judges as seen on the show (those episodes are all taped in California around March) but for the production team to select acts to participate in the televised auditions.
Those interested in auditioning for Season 14 should head to the AGT audition website to register for one of the open call dates (or submit a video in the case of those who aren’t able to attend any of the in-person audition sessions).
America’s Got Talent Season 14 should premiere on NBC sometime in 2019, but in the meantime we can look forward to AGT: The Champions starting on Monday, January 7.
