Amazing 11-Year-Old ‘BGT’ Duo Changes Simon Cowell’s Mind About Lyrical Dancing

Libby And Charlie were probably the most bubbly dance duo we have ever seen on ‘BGT.’ The two 11-year-olds had awesome personalities that were on full display during their season 13 audition. They even turned Simon Cowell into a lover of lyrical dancing after years of not really being a fan. Check out their very memorable audition below.
Libby And Charlie Changed Simon Cowell’s Mind On ‘BGT’
Libby and Charlie both hilariously pointed to themselves when the judges asked which one of them was the boss. When asked what they would do with the prize money if they won, Charlie said he would obviously go on a holiday. This sent everyone into a pool of laughter and their audition was already off to a great start. They performed an emotional partner dance to “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri. It was the perfect balance of well-executed tricks and elegant dancing.
“Oh, you two have just got it,” Alesha Dixon said excitedly. “You weren’t a step out of place. It was just perfect, I was literally looking for a fault and I couldn’t find one.” David Walliams complimented the pair’s connection that they had while dancing.

Simon who is very hard to please with lyrical dancing also sang Libby and Charlie’s praises. “I don’t love this kind of dancing I got to be honest with you…but I thought your choice of song, your obvious friendship, sense of fun it was actually one of my favorite dance performances because with these two I genuinely see star potential.” Amanda Holden agreed and felt that both dancers were very good at being expressive and emotional throughout the piece.
While the judges all voted “yes,” Libby and Charlie were not initially chosen to perform in the Semi-Finals. But when danger act Brotherhood was deemed too dangerous to perform, they were then replaced by Libby and Charlie. They finished third in the Semi-Final but the judges loved their act so much that they brought them back as the Wildcard. In the Final, Charlie and Libby both danced on top of the ‘BGT’ judges table. It was a fun cabaret-style routine and they each got to have their own little solo moments during it. They finished the competition in 10th place.
What Have They Been Up To Since Competing On The Show?
After competing on ‘BGT,’ Libby and Charlie went to compete at the Dance World Cup in Portugal. They won a bronze medal for their duet and also both performed solos. Charlie won the gold medal in the solo category.
After wrapping ‘BGT,’ Charlie went back to performing as Bruce Bogtrotter in “Matilda the Musical.”
The duo also celebrated one year since they appeared on ‘BGT.’ “I can’t believe it has been 1 year already since the Britains Got Talent Final! I had an incredible time performing on that stage making memories forever! Thank you so much to everyone who supported and voted for us throughout the journey!” Charlie wrote on Instagram.
