Alarming Shane Dawson Tweet Resurfaces About How Rihanna Should Get ‘Beat Again’ By Chris Brown
Shane Dawson continues to dig himself deeper into a hole after being canceled by nearly everyone on the internet. After drama involving Shane and YouTuber Jeffree Star began for trying to ruin James Charles’ career, he was under criticism for past racist comments. Several of his sketches came under fire along with pedophilia accusations. Now, people are digging up some of his old tweets to further make a case about why he should be canceled. One in particular is insensitive towards singer Rihanna.
Shane’s tweet says “If Rihanna takes him back I hope she gets her ass beat again…that’s harsh…but I’m annoyed….ur setting a BAD EXAMPLE B*TCH!” This is a reference to the night before the 2009 Grammy’s where Rihanna and her then-boyfriend Chris Brown fought after he received a text from an ex-girlfriend. After he lied about the text message, the pair continued to argue. He repeatedly punched, bit and choked her to the point where she had trouble breathing and threatened to kill her. Her screams prompted someone to call the police. Chris was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats hours later and pleaded guilty to assault. He was put on probation for five years.
Shane Dawson Made Fun Of Rihanna’s History Of Domestic Violence
People are outraged that this tweet has resurfaced now showing a very inappropriate side of Shane. It is just yet another thing added to the list of why people are not happy with him lately. Of course, a lot of it comes from his relationship with Jeffree who is in the spotlight for his own controversies. Former fans also found a sketch that Shane did where he parodied The Maury Show. He hired a young actress to play one of the people on the show and she said that she named her private parts after Rihanna “because she loves to get beat up.” This was and still is seen as Shane making outrageous remarks about Rihanna who is a victim of domestic violence and has also been helping victims like herself through The Clara Lionel Foundation.
One Twitter user pointed out a list of things that Shane has done that not only bring up the issue of racism, but also insensitivity to victims of domestic violence.
Some People Are Claiming That The Tweet Is Fake
Though the tweet looks pretty legitimate, there are quite a few skeptics who think it is fake. But, one Twitter user found more incriminating tweets and screenshots that show Shane making inappropriate comments. In one tweet, Shane talks about how he got his 12-year-old cousin to perform a sexual act on a miniature hotdog. Another screenshot from his Facebook account shows a picture with a child from one spoof video that he did. He praised the child and talked about how cute he was. In parenthesis, he wrote, “yes…I’m a pedophile.”
As you can imagine, none of these tweets are making a good case for him being innocent in all of this YouTube drama. Instead, they further point to him being problematic. He tried to address this in a recent apology that fell a bit flat.
Shane decided he was stepping away from the beauty community to try and stay away from the drama. However, at this point, he still remains at the center of all of it. This is due in part because fans can’t forgive his past actions.
