‘AGT: The Champions’ Shocking Eliminations On Night Two: Recap
We’re back for the second night of AGT: The Champions! Terry Crews enters the stage to introduce the show as the ‘best talent from around the world’ and introduces our judges. Tonight, Heidi Klum holds the power of the golden buzzer, so she will send one act through to the finals, and the other will be America’s vote!
Starting off the show is season 12 winner Darci Lynne with an incredible ventriloquist performance. At only 13 years old she dominated the AGT: The Champions stage as Simon says that she deserves to be the world champion- the ultimate compliment! What a way to start off the night!
Ashleigh and Sully
Seven years later, Ashleigh is back to perform after winning Britains Got Talent, but with one big missing piece. Her dog and partner Pudsey passed away after their big win, however, that doesn’t hold her back. She introduced Sully to the stage who wows the judges for the second act of the night. Mel said it best when she says that this performance just made her smile from start to finish. Winner of Britains Got Talent in 2012 is back but unfortunately, her original act is not able to perform.
This dance group from Ukraine let their light shine- literally. After leaving Season 12 without the championship, they were determined to give this performance their all and that they did. Simon even told them that if they had performed that way two years ago, their placement could have ended differently.
This comedian has come back to AGT: The Champions to give winning another shot, as he placed runner-up in Season 8. After his stand-up performance, we had a brutally honest critique from Simon who said that he felt that the nerves got to him tonight, while Howie agreed.
After winning Spain’s Got Talent, Christiana is making her way to America for the very first time and she’s ready to compete. Her original performance went from soft and opera styled singing to a wow-factor pop performance. The judges loved it and Howie says that he thinks people will be talking about her by tomorrow if not already for the top 3 fan-votes.
After winning Hollands Got Talent, DDF Crew was ready to bring their A-Game to the American competition. However, they didn’t get the best results from the judges leaving Howie saying that in America’s Got Talent, they wouldn’t have ranked. Ouch!
Coming back to the competition as a husband and father gave Viktor a refined purpose in winning The Champions. His elegant performance was mesmerizing to watch, as Heidi put it best saying ‘you just don’t want it to end!’ He received a standing ovation and left with the hopes that America would vote him into the finals.
From the moment Courtney stepped onto the stage, you could see she was a judge and fan favorite. After performing to her original song, Courtney was determined to make it to the finals and win AGT: The Champions title. Simon said that it was his favorite performance of hers and that he could feel her confidence when she sings. As for making it to the finals, it would have to be America’s vote.
As if the name didn’t tell you enough, this was easily the most dangerous acts of the entire show. Husband and wife Alfredo and Anna Silva take you through some of the scariest ‘games’ during their performance. If one thing goes wrong, Anna could easily be killed. Howie says that watching this performance was like ’50 shades of danger’ while Heidi decides she wants to give them the ultimate gift, the golden buzzer! Looks like there will be more Deadly Games because they’re onto the finals!
Piff The Magic Dragon
After being on America’s Got Talent, Piff the Magic Dragon shared how the show propelled his career to success, landing him his own show in Vegas. After an incredible comedic magic trick where he took Heidi’s ring, had his dog eat it, squeezing an egg out of the dog just to find the ring in the yolk, the judges and audience we’re so entertained. What a way to end the show!
With Deadly Games making it to the finals, it’s time to find out who will be the second performance to continue in the competition. Crews read off the top three being Courtney Hadwin, Cristina Ramos, and Darci Lynne. To the judges’ surprise, Courtney takes third place with Mel B even saying she was ‘shocked’ which leaves Darci to be the runner up and Cristina to make it to the finals!
