Heidi Klum gives Sofia some advice on ‘America’s Got Talent’ judging
Heidi Klum is back on the AGT panel this year for Season 15 and we couldn’t be happier! Joining Klum is actress, Sofia Vergara and it seems they’ve already hit it off. Here’s what the returning judge had to say about Sofia Vergara settling in.
“It’s been amazing! We’ve only filmed one day so far and on the first day she was like, ‘I’m really nervous. I don’t wanna do anything wrong.'”
“And I said to her, ‘You cannot do anything wrong. You just speak your truth. You just say what you just saw, if you like it and if you don’t, and if you just elaborate on that, that’s it. The nice thing is you don’t have to memorize any text. You know because on Modern Family, I’m sure she has to do pages and pages of memorising. We don’t have to memorize anything.” she continues.
Heidi has also confirmed that Vergara had pushed the Golden Buzzer on the first day, before any of the other judges. “First day, she just went for it. I was like, ‘Kudos to you, Sofia Vergara.’ She just went straight for it. She’s not messing around. See for me, it’s always, like, if I have a second thought then I just won’t do it. If I have it in my gut, and I’m like, yes, I go straight for it,” Klum recalled.

Sofia Vergara’s first thoughts on judging ‘America’s Got Talent’
Vergara is just days into joining the panel of AGT at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium and is loving every bit of it. “I think this is going to be a good place for me. I like everybody. I like all the judges. It’s been great. I am lucky” says Sofia, commenting on her first day.
Vergara was also asked about being sat next to Simon Cowell this season. “I don’t know, that wasn’t a choice. They just told me to sit down there and I did it. At the end of the day, he has a lot of experience in these shows so when you’re new, that’s who you wanna be with”.
Vergara compared the first day on the set of AGT to her first day of school saying, “I needed to learn new names, I needed to you know make new friends”. Rest assured, we’re sure Sofia will have a full grip of the ropes in a matter of days!
