‘AGT’ Judge Julianne Hough Declares ‘I Have No Friends’ After Failed Phone Game
NBC Why does no one answer AGT judge Julianne Hough’s phone calls? The dancer offers up a theory in a funny new YouTube video released by the show. In it, Julianne shares what’s on her phone, but it doesn’t exactly go according to plan.
Things start out well, with Julianne revealing a funny throwback photo which was sent to her by her high school friend. “I used to do my hair super curly in high school, like the worst hairdos you’ve ever seen,” she explains of the voluminous style she’s sporting in the picture. “Also my eyebrows are extremely thin. Oh, wow. The mistakes we’ve made as children.”
Julianne Doesn’t Respond To Texts
Things get a little bit awkward when she’s challenged to find the last text she sent. She scrolls through her messages and realizes there are quite a few she hasn’t responded to. “This is really bad. I’m a terrible friend,” she jokes as she struggles to find one.
But it’s when she’s asked to call a celebrity and tell them a knock knock joke that things really don’t go as expected. First, Julianne tries calling her friend Nina Dobrev, who doesn’t pick up. Then she tries calling her brother Derek Hough, who also doesn’t pick up.
“I have no friends, because I don’t respond to their text messages,” Julianne says with a laugh as the phone rings. “This is really depressing that none of my friends are picking up. I don’t know any more famous people.”
A Prank Call To Howie Mandel
A producer then suggests that she call fellow judge Howie Mandel. He actually does pick up, but he doesn’t sound all that impressed with her joke. “It doesn’t count if it’s Howie. He’s upstairs,” Julianne says.
We can’t blame Julianne Hough for taking a while to respond to texts — she’s a busy woman. And how many people answer the phone these days anyway?
