AGT host Terry Crews announces there will be a White Chicks 2 in the future. That’s right, the 2004 comedy is definitely in the works. Let’s take a trip down memory lane – Here are 5 of our favorite Terry films.
We couldn’t start this countdown off without mentioning box office hit White Chicks. In a recent interview with Us Weekly Crews revealed, “I’m staying in shape for White Chicks 2…I will never, ever get out of shape because that movie’s going to happen one day.”
The film stars Shawn and Marlon Wayans, two FBI agents that go undercover as you guessed it…white chicks! Terry’s character decides to shoot his shot with one of the undercover brothers, birthing one of the funniest gifs of all time. We can’t wait for the sequel and more of Terry’s hilarious dance moves!
Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho isn’t just a ridiculous tongue twister, its also Terry’s character in the cult classic, Idiocracy.
Crews sat down with Business Insider and talked all things President Camacho. “I would love to make a movie, I literally want to — Mike [Judge] and I were talking about doing like a chronicles of Camacho, you know what I mean,”
Idiocracy tells the story of Joe Bowers (Luke Wilson) an active participant in a military experiment gone awry. Set to be put into hibernation for one year with a woman named Rita (Maya Rudolph) the pair is forgotten about until the year 2505.
President Camacho (Crews) is a Smackdown champ, a porn-star, and President of the United States. Some may argue Idiocracy mirrors the current state of our nation. Equally important, Crews reveals, “That movie was so prophetic in so many ways, it actually scares people.”
Although critics may not agree, the Friday franchise continues to captivate audiences nationwide. Crews has a supporting role as an intimidating jailbird alongside stars, Ice Cube and Mike Epps. The slice of life film shows the two cousins moving out into the real world, and doesn’t miss a beat of hilarity along the way!
Nerd Reactor touched base with the AGT frontman asking if his character Damon would make a cameo appearance in a 4th installment of the film. “Oh hell yeah, more than just a cameo. You’ll see me in the movie for sure,” Crews responds.
Have you ever had anyone re-write a film because they liked you so much? Well thats exactly what happened for America’s favorite host. Sylvester Stallone re-wrote The Expendables so that his co-star could have the maximum amount of screen-time.
The 2010 film is about a group of mercenaries on a mission to overthrow a Latin American dictator.
At first Crews was less than thrilled about his role in the film. “When I was on that movie, I wasn’t getting a lot of light and they kept changing the script and I just kept disappearing,” Crews reveals to Entertainment Tonight. “I was like, ‘You know what, I’m gonna mail it in. I’m gonna say my lines and go home. I wanna get out of here.”
But Terry proves there is power in positivity because Stallone noticed the lack of Crews in the film, and re-worked the movie so audiences got more Terry!
Crews brought life to Bedlam, a mutant that can manipulate electromagnetic fields to confuse the minds of his enemies.
Teasers of the sequel lead fans to believe that Bedlam and his X-Force crew were major parts of the film. Ultimately though, Crews’ character and squad were each killed off one-by-one.
When asked by Business Insider about Bedlam’s fate, Crews revealed, “I knew everything. We were trolling the world. That was the whole point. And the big thing was to keep it a secret. That was the hardest part. I didn’t even tell my wife what was going to happen.”
To throw fans off their scent and quiet any predictions, the crew shot extra scenes they knew wouldn’t be included in the film. “We shot a whole scene that we knew was never going to be in the movie. I’m telling you, it’s the biggest troll of all time. I couldn’t believe we were going to do this,” Crews said. The footage was ultimately used as promo for the film.
Crews continues to win over the hearts of America and we can’t wait to see his next on-screen role!
