On Monday night’s AGT: The Champions finale, the 2020 winner was finally announced. The Top 10 gave their last-chance performances last week in the finals, and it was up to the AGT superfans to vote for their favorite.
After a night of amazing performances from the finalists and special guests, Terry Crews announced the winner. Congratulations to … V. Unbeatable! The Indian dance group was declared the best of the best, with Duo Transcend coming in second place.
V. Unbeatable Named 2020 ‘AGT Champions’ Winner
V. Unbeatable competed in Season 14 of America’s Got Talent last year, blowing the judges and viewers away with their acrobatic dance routines. Many were shocked when they only made it to fourth place. They returned to the stage for AGT: Champions, and earned the Golden Buzzer from Howie Mandel, who said they’re the best act ever on Got Talent.
V. Unbeatable was formed in 2012 by Vikas Gupta and Om Prakash. It’s made up of dancers of various ages from the slums of Mumbai, India. In 2014, Vikas passed away after being injured during rehearsals. The group now honors him with his name on their shirts.
V. Unbeatable Performs In The ‘AGT Champions’ Finale
Before being named AGT: Champions winners, V. Unbeatable performed one last routine in the finale. They were joined by Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker for an energetic performance involving hoops, chairs, and one impressive stunt involving Travis’ drumstick.
AGT: Champions may not have a million-dollar prize like the traditional AGT seasons, but this is still a huge moment for V. Unbeatable, and for their home country of India. We can’t wait to see what they do next!
