Kadan Rockett, the kid magician who previously competed on ‘AGT’ has spoken out after his recent arrest. The 15-year-old and his sister Brooklyn Rockett were arrested last week after a custody battle between their parents turned ugly.
Kadan Rockett Spoke Out On Instagram After He And His Sister Were Arrested
Kadan and Brooklyn were seen in a video obtained by TMZ being arrested at their grandfather’s home in Louisiana where they were in town for a funeral. The pair have been living with their father in Los Angeles and were ordered by a judge to go live with their mother but they refused. In the video, the teens said they are afraid of what their mother Kami Lyn Rockett will do to them as they were taken away in handcuffs.
Kadan posted a picture on Instagram with a lengthy caption to clear up some of the details about his arrest. He made it clear that the media has “mixed up” some things and referenced a story written by the NY Post that had some of the details right. “I am not a little kid anymore, I am 15 with a mind of my own,” Kadan wrote on Instagram. “I am an honor student, scheduled to graduate early. (Next school year). I am a licensed driver. I already have my own business, with employees.”
“I love the life that I have worked hard to create” he continued. “I love my Dad & Stepmom. I will always stand up for my rights, even when not everyone else understands.”
“No one knows my full story except for a few people very close to me” he added. “People can speculate and judge all you want but regardless, I will always stand up for my rights and the rights of my sis @brooklynrockett no matter what. Thank you for your prayers and support. Thank you for those that have stood up for our rights and against the illegal things that have been done to us. We aren’t done. Our voices WILL be heard, one way or another.”
Fans Are Rallying Behind The Duo As They Continue To Fight For Their Rights
Kadan and Brooklyn are currently back with their father Bart Rockett. “The kids are doing great and are staying strong during this tough time,” he told the NY Post. “They’re straight ‘A’ students in advanced classes and will graduate early. They’ve traveled 40 countries. I support their right to have their voices heard.”
So many people have been leaving Instagram comments and tweets in support of both Kadan and Brooklyn as they have been making headlines over the past few days. “Both you and your sister need to stay strong. No one should have to go through the mess you two have had to put up with” wrote one person on Instagram. “Super proud of you and your maturity and strength during this horrible ordeal. You both deserve so much better than this” wrote another person.
Brooklyn also posted a picture on Instagram after the arrest and addressed everything that has been going on in her caption. She wrote “@kadanbartrockettand I have been in the news a lot this past day and not for happy reasons. For all of you who have reached out to us, we say thanks. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Your messages have meant a lot.”
The Rocketts previously competed on ‘AGT’ back in 2016 and made it all the way to the Semi-Finals.
