9-Year-Old Takes On Powerful ‘Lion King’ Song And Shocks Everyone In The Room [VIDEO]
YouTube Evelina Bolshakova definitely brought excitement to her audition for season five of The Voice Kids Russia. Just nine years old at the time, she completely blew everyone away with her rendition of “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” from the Disney film Lion King. Evelina Bolshakova Performed Disney Song On ‘The Voice Kids Russia’
Evelina had a fun energy during her performance as she moved around the stage and had enthusiasm throughout the entire song. She even added her own little lion roar and had the crowd clapping along to one of the most popular Disney songs of all time. Evelina got completely animated when she busted out some choreography midway through the song. The judges could not wipe the smiles off of their faces. She finished the song with a mighty roar.

The student from Moscow ended up on Team Meladze after her audition. In the Battles, Evelina went up against Kira Danilina and Anton Subbotin singing “Вася.” She was chosen as the winner of the battle and advanced on to the Sing-Offs. She once again sang “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” and again blew everyone away. This performance was even better than the first time if that is even possible.
Evelina advanced to the Live Playoffs where she was eliminated from The Voice Kids Russia. If you loved Evelina’s audition and Disney songs, check out the compilation below. Where Is She Now?
Since competing on The Voice Kids Russia in 2018, Evelina created a YouTube channel where she posts covers playing the ukelele. She has covered multiple Billie Eilish songs including the massive hit “idontwannabeyouanymore.” It definitely seems like this young artist takes a lot of inspiration from Billie who has also had a huge career that blossomed at a young age.
She performed a cover of the song “Zombie” at an end of the school year concert in Moscow. The song which was recently revived in a cover by Miley Cyrus literally sounds like it was made for Evelina to sing.
In February, she had a live performance where she sang a brand new song. “Lately I don’t often sing live, but when such a moment comes, I can’t refuse” she wrote on Instagram.
Evelina posted a video on Instagram playing the drums after fans kept asking her to see her drumming skills. She is a great drummer, and that coupled with her singing talents definitely makes her a force to be reckoned with.
