9-Year-Old Singer Named After Celine Dion Makes Her Proud With Fantastic ‘AGT’ Audition
NBC Immediately when Celine Tam walked out on the ‘AGT’ stage everyone was saying “aw.” The adorable nine-year-old had the judges hooked with her bubbly personality and the fact that she and her sister, Dion were named after one of music’s biggest icons, Celine Dion. Celine Tam Took On A Huge Celine Dion Hit On ‘AGT’
For her ‘AGT’ audition, Celine of course had to sing the notorious Celine Dion ballad “My Heart Will Go On.” She completely blew everyone away to the point where you could see the shock on all of the judge’s faces. Simon Cowell questioned whether there was someone backstage that was actually singing. Howie Mandel could not wipe the smile off of his face. Mel B praised Celine’s confidence and complimented her vibrato.

Celine was sent to the Judge Cuts round where she sang Michael Bolton’s “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You.” Guest judge Laverne Cox was very impressed with Celine’s undeniable talent. She gave her the Golden Buzzer which sent her straight to the Live Shows.
She gave a dynamite performance of Whitney Houston’s and Mariah Carey’s “When You Believe” in the Quarterfinals. In the Semi-Finals, Celine performed “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana. She did not receive enough votes to continue on in the competition but she definitely left her mark.

Where Is She Now?
After appearing on ‘AGT,’ Celine has continued to grow her online presence. She has 173,000 Instagram followers along with 647,000 subscribers on YouTube. Celine has posted cooking videos with her sister Dion on YouTube and yes, it is as adorable as it sounds.
She also continues to post covers on both Instagram and Youtube much to the delight of her international fanbase.
In 2019, Celine competed on World’s Got Talent in China and sang her original song “Who I Am.” The songwriting coupled with her incredible vocals and the stunning backdrop really made the entire performance stand out. One of the judges said, “I really appreciate your attitude, song lyrics and your passion for music.” She received her second-ever Golden Buzzer and was the youngest person to ever make it to the Finals. Later, she was invited to Germany to sing on The Helene Fischer Show.
Celine was also just celebrated for having the ninth most viral audition in ‘AGT’ history for their 15th-anniversary special. “What a journey it has been for me,” she remarked on Instagram. “Looking back at that video gives me chills, I can’t honestly thank the judges and the amazing fans out there who have supported me along the way! Out of ALL the auditions and I was one of them, this is just incredible to think about!”
