Mayyas From ‘Arabs Got Talent’
Mayyas is yet another amazing group of women who truly impressed the judges on Arabs Got Talent in 2019. They even received the golden buzzer and later went on to win the show, the first-ever winners from Lebanon.
They recently made their appearance on Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions and stated that they wanted to gain more opportunities to showcase their talents because there are very few in Lebanon. While they did not advance to the finals, Simon Cowell said that their performance was “genius.” Their performances often have storylines that involve religion and “the allure of the mystique of Arabia.” Their aim is to show that dance does not always have to be seductive and can be about expressing folklore.
The Belly Dancing Duo From ‘America’s Got Talent’
Sadie and Kaya met in a belly dancing class and took to the Americas Got Talent stage in season 5 to showcase their talents. Judge Sharon Osborne said that their “technique is supreme.” Howie Mandell had a huge smile on his face during both of their AGT performances. They made it to the quarterfinals and it ultimately came down to the judge’s choice where they were sent home. Sadie has a very successful 22-year belly dancing career and has 90,000 followers on Instagram that support her and her daily belly dancing performances.
Natalia Duminica On Romania’s Got Talent
Natalia Duminica was a semi-finalist on the first season of Romania’s Got Talent in 2011. The season had amazing ratings which were no doubt influenced by Natalia’s stunning performances. She is originally from Moldova and includes a lot of Arabic inspired movements in her dances. Her performances got rave reviews from the judges and she continues to post videos of herself dancing on Youtube as well as travel vlogs.
Ferah Cicekdag On ‘Australia’s Got Talent’
Ferah Cicekdag is a Turkish belly dancer that appeared on Australia’s Got Talent in 2010. Her audition went viral and was a medieval-inspired performance, unlike anything the world has ever seen before. The judges watched Cickedag in awe of her precise movements and perfect execution. She made it to the semi-finals on the show and the judges even called her performance “magical.”
