AGT: The Champions continues to introduce us to some amazing talent from around the world, including Strauss Serpent. The contortionist and dancer is originally from Africa, and now he’s ready to share his skill with America.


Strauss will perform in this week’s new episode of Champions. He has an impressive history in the Got Talent franchise. Read on to find out more about him and what he does.

5 Facts About Strauss Serpent

Strauss is from Congo.

The AGT website lists Yaoundé, Cameroon, as Strauss’ hometown, but says he is a “native of Congo.” The 23-year-old’s goal is apparently to be “a source of inspiration and hope for young African artists to follow their dreams no matter what is in their way.”

As Strauss said in an interview before his AGT: The Champions appearance, “I want to prove to the youth of Africa, that if you can dream of it, you can do it.” Strauss has certainly done a lot to chase his own dream, and he’s found success.

You have to see Strauss’ talent to believe it. He can twist his body into shapes you might never have imagined possible, as well as dislocating his shoulders. Not only does Strauss show off this ability on stage, but he also frequently posts Instagram photos of his shocking positions. Some of them will have you wondering what you’re even looking at.

He won ‘Africa’s Got Talent.’

Strauss took his contortionist act to Africa’s Got Talent in 2017. In the finals, he performed as a patient on a stretcher. At one point, his head appeared to twist around 180 degrees, and he even jumped rope with one leg behind his head. It’s no wonder he won the competition.

He got the Golden Buzzer on ‘France’s Got Talent.’

In 2018, Strauss appeared on La France a un incroyable talent, which is France’s Got Talent competition. In his audition, he made the audience and judges cringe by putting his arms in seemingly impossible positions. His performance was so impressive, he earned the Golden Buzzer.

He’s performing on ‘AGT: The Champions.’

Strauss is taking his mind-boggling talent to the American stage for Season 2 of AGT: The Champions. The show released a preview of his performance in the preliminary rounds, in which he freaks out the judges with his crazy moves. At one point, Alesha Dixon turns around in her chair because she doesn’t want to look. Will he make it to the next round? We’ll have to watch and see.

Strauss Serpent was in a movie called Climax

Climax is a French film about a troupe of young dancers that gather in a remote and empty school building to rehearse. The troupe begins an all-night celebration that turns nightmarish as the dancers discover they’ve been pounding cups of sangria laced with potent LSD. Tracking their journey from jubilation to chaos and full-fledged anarchy, Noé observes crushes, rivalries, and violence amid a collective psychedelic meltdown.
