15-Year-Old Returns To ‘BGT’ Years After Judges Asked Him To Get Singing Lessons — Can He Make It This Time?

Kyle Tomlinson returned to season 11 of Britain’s Got Talent with a mission. He previously auditioned a few years earlier during season eight and claims judge David Walliams told him that he needed to get a singing teacher. This time, he showed that he was a superstar on the rise with his rendition of “Hallelujah.“
Kyle Tomlinson Came Back To ‘BGT’ To Prove The Judges Wrong
After hearing of Kyle’s previous audition on the show, Simon Cowell hilariously pointed fingers at David. He very dramatically played it up and made it like David saying harsh comments was awful being that Kyle was only 12 at the time of his first audition. We all know Simon is the king of making harsh comments so this was definitely a way to divert attention off of himself. Kyle actually did begin working with a singing teacher and was feeling pretty confident coming into the new audition. He belted the song in a performance that shocked everyone. “You stood up there, you put your heart and soul on the line and we all felt it and we were all there with you,” Alesha Dixon said. “That was brilliant.”
“You know this just shows you, Kyle, when someone brings you down and says ‘you’re not good enough’ you come back and look them in the eye and go ‘I am good enough'” Simon said. Everyone wanted to know what David had to say this time around during Kyle’s Britain’s Got Talent audition. Without even saying anything, David hit his Golden Buzzer. Kyle cried tears of joy and shock in this unforgettable moment. “At first I didn’t realize I got the buzzer, I actually thought it was some sort of explosion until I saw the gold confetti,” Kyle told us exclusively.

“Well done Kyle, it was a really really moving performance,” David said. “I’m really glad you came back and proved me wrong.” Kyle performed a tribute to his sick grandfather during the Semi-finals singing “When We Were Young” by Adele. He made it all the way to the Grand Final where he performed “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri. He finished the competition in sixth place.
