Sirine Jahangir Performs In The ‘BGT’ Semifinals
Sirine has been singing her whole life, and started playing the piano when she was 5 years old. She started losing her vision at 7. “If I hadn’t lost my vision, I don’t think I’d be as in love with music as I am now,” she shared.
She says music takes her to her “own world,” where she has “no limitations.” During Saturday’s BGT semifinals show, she performed at a piano covered in butterflies, with the words “You’re not alone” on the side.

Hosts and Ant and Dec checked in with Sirine to make sure she was all right, and she smiled as she responded, “Yes. I don’t know why I cried.”
What Did The Judges Think Of Sirine’s Performance?
Amanda Holden had tears in her eyes as she told Sirine, “I really felt for you there at the end.” She called it a “magical” and “angelic” performance. She said Sirine has “something unique,” adding, “I think you’re going to be huge.”
Guest BGT judge Ashley Banjo said the performance “transported” him, and Alesha Dixon said it took her breath away. David Walliams said he hoped she was crying “happy tears.” Sirine confirmed that she was.
