10-Year-Old Girl Has HUGE Voice On ‘BGT’ That Leaves The Judges Completely Shook
ITV Giorgia Borg was the last act of the day during the Britain’s Got Talent auditions in 2019. And, the 10-year-old singer did not disappoint. She traveled all the way from Malta for a chance to compete on ‘BGT’ and she had one of the most unforgettable auditions of all time.
Giorgia Borg Sang Original Song With Huge Voice On ‘BGT’
Giorgia started singing when she was five years old and was ready to show off her talent during her ‘BGT’ audition. She previously placed third in Malta’s competition to enter the Junior Eurovision. “I’m really excited to see Alesha Dixon because she is the boss, she is the queen,” Giorgia said before taking the stage. She sang an original song called “10” about how some parents are not very involved in their children’s lives. Her song was full of energy and powerful lyrics. She reached some incredibly high notes and had a dominant stage presence. Her performance earned her a standing ovation from the judges and the audience.

“I just knew when I woke up this morning this was going to be a great day” Simon Cowell said. “I could feel it. I have a son who’s five, trust me, I listen to him not the other way around. I learn more from him than other people so I get it and it was amazing.” Just as David Walliams began to give his critique, he was interrupted by Alesha. “Oh forget it,” she said as she reached across the table and hit the Golden Buzzer. Giorgia was ecstatic and cried tears of joy. “It takes a lot to really move me and you floored me like absolutely floored me,” Alesha said. “Your vocal capability, your lyrical capability. You’re 10 years old this is unbelievable. You are a star. You have the best personality as well. I love everything about you.”
This sent Giorgia straight into the semi-finals. Simon felt that there was too much backtrack on her next song and she was eventually eliminated from the competition.
Where Is She Now?
After everyone loved her original song “10” so much on ‘BGT,’ Giorgia recently released a music video for it. The video has over 64,000 views with her fans loving absolutely every second of it. “Since ‘BGT’ I’m being recognized and people ask to take selfies with me and it gave me the confidence to believe in myself,” she told us exclusively.
Giorgia also has changed up her look a bit since appearing on ‘BGT.’ She sported a new look, chopping off her long locks and striping her eyebrows. She also told us that she finds inspiration from artists like Billie Eilish, Beyonce and Ariana Grande. Plus, she finally has reached her dream of hitting some Mariah Carey whistle tone notes that she joked about during her audition. “I am finally able to hit those notes after working really hard, as I get older my range will expand even more so can’t wait,” she said.
Right after, she changed up her look again this time captioning the photo “the new me.”
She has also taken up a new hobby while still pursuing singing. The now 12-year-old posted a video showing off her new skateboarding skills.
